7 months

Henry,

Happy 7 months!  You are now more than halfway to a year.

You weigh 21lb 6oz and are 27.5 inches long.  You still look like you are thinning out, but it could just be you are holding your body up better.

You are still rolling all over the place, but aren't crawling yet.  When we try to get you to crawl you flail your arms and cry.  You'll do it when you're ready though.  You are sitting up straight now without falling over.  I can sit you on the floor with toys or books and you'll play for an hour if I let you.  You've also mastered getting from a sitting position to your belly this month.

Your new favorite activity is standing.  You can't pull yourself up yet, but if we put you near something you can hold onto, you will stand forever.  At the end of this month you also started taking steps while holding our hands.  You will walk across the room and look so proud of yourself.  One other thing you keep trying to do is sit up while you're on your back.  You are nowhere close, but one day you'll get it.

You are still eating mostly purees, but I am thickening them up with cereal.  We tried a jar of stage 3 food and you loved the chunks.  I think once we are finished with the purees I've made we will move to finger foods.  You are still nursing 6 times a day, but I think we may drop down to 5 times soon.

Just as we thought we had your sleep schedule figured out, you cut two teeth.  For the last week you have been taking a lot of naps with me because you like the extra cuddles while your mouth is hurting.  We also sleep together after you wake up to eat in the morning.  I am definitely enjoying the extra 2-3 hours of sleep!

Dad and I both got new cars this month and your convertible seat won't get tight in mine for some reason.  You're back in your infant seat for now and don't seem to mind.  Your convertible seat is in dad's car and we will get a new seat for mine whenever we feel like you need to be in a convertible seat full time.

You are still wearing 6-12 and 12-18 month onesies, 12-18 month rompers, 6 month T's, and 6-9 month pants.  I think this is the first month you haven't gone up a clothing size.

I got a new camera this month and am so happy I am able to get some quality pictures of you.  I am definitely not a pro, but I can tell a difference.  Here are my favorites:
